Our guides will navigate you through infamous rapids like "Big Mama", "Whitewash", and "Magic Falls". A hearty riverside lunch will be served and then you can relax and enjoy the unspoiled scenery or run some rapids in an inflatable kayak. This whitewater rafting trip is ideal for seasoned paddlers as well as first timers. If you are still a little nervous, feel free to join us mid day. The mid-day whitewater rafting adventure allows you to join in with your friends and the enjoy the rest of the river scenery without all of the action of the upper section. You will be surprised at how many friends you make by the end of the day. A professional video and slide show of your trip will be ready to view upon returning to the base. The minimum suggested age for the gorge section is 13.

Booking early for your whitewater rafting trip is suggested because the State of Maine limits the number of rafting passengers, to preserve this wild resource from overuse!

The Dead River

If you're looking for almost non-stop whitewater rafting action then this is the trip for you! We have the privelege of whitewater rafting The Dead thanks to scheduled dam releases. This trip is 16 miles long of great thrills!! Rapids like "Hayden's Landing" and "Poplar Falls" will make this a trip you are sure to remember. A snack beforehand and a hearty lunch at the end of the journey. Minimum suggested age is 15. This trip books up fast so call us now!!

What to Expect

Whitewater rafting participants meet at our base in Jackman Maine at 8:30AM and return by approximately 4:00PM daily. All guided day trips include state-of-the-art self bailing raft, life jacket, paddle and optional helmet. Bus shuttle to and from the river, departing from our base.
