Very clean, comfortable and convenient! We were there only overnight but it was quite nice. The store across the street has nice sandwiches and take-out baskets, which was very handy for us as we were traveling with a dog. I would like to thank the gentleman who suggested Moxie Falls; it was beautiful!

"Great Motel!!" This is an excellent motel in the western mountains of Maine. I was very please to enjoy this kind of quality. The rooms were very clean, spacious and well maintained. The staff were very accommodating and even stayed a bit late to wait for my arrival. The office closes at 10:00 PM but there is a phone outside the office door to call during non-office hours. Thanks Levesque family for a pleasant stay!

"Best In Jackman!" Stayed in Bishops Motel while canoeing the 700 mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail. They allowed me to ship resupply packages to them and they held them until my arrival. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was large and well appointed, clean and appeared to be recently renovated. The room had space for all our canoeing gear and still plenty of room. Bathroom was really nice! Breakfast was great. In fact everyone we met in Jackman was very helpful and friendly!

"It was fine!" We stayed in Jackman to find a Moose. The room was OK, but a little pricy and they gave us the room in the middle of the hotel as far away from the stairs as you can get. GF booked the room, but I would have stayed across the street for half the money, or up the road the road at Mikes where we went for dinner. We did see a moose standing in the road, so we had that going for us which is nice! (Reddit shoutout).

Breakfast was included. Nothing special, but at least they had microwaveable breakfast sandwiches to supplement the pre-packaged pastries and cereal.

"Very nice indeed." Better a late review than never!

Yes we enjoyed our brief overnight stay here. And thank goodness we arrived when we did as the heavens looked nasty and we were on our motorcycle.

We biked through the border quite late and so we asked for a nice place to stay nearby. The boys on the border steered us to Jackman.

A really warm and friendly welcome from the girl on reception (he hubby works in Border Patrol).
The outside is very attractive, very well maintained and gives a great sense of arrival.
Our room was as expected so, no surprises here!

Breakfast could for sure be better and indeed it was disappointing. Having the electricity knocked out by the storm which felled a large tree over the main line didn't help at all. The breakfast and the breakfast room, in my humble opinion, needs a look at.

The storm arrived overnight and the next morning we had to set off in heavy rain...not pleasant but that's biking!

This is a good place to stop over. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed September 2013, traveled as a couple.

"Excellent motel - Too bad there is road noise" Bishop's Motel is an excellent motel no doubt about it. Our room was comfortable, clean and roomy. Personnel is very nice and friendly. Good quality upgraded windows that open to the northern Maine's fresh air and loon cries. Unfortunately you will also hear semi trucks all night on the main highway - even with the windows shut. Still the motel is farther away from the road than the other alternatives (there is only one road in Jackman), so it is the place to stay nonetheless. Good breakfast included but it ends early (9am).

"A treasure" The motel was on the right driving into Jackman from New haven. The gentleman was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was on the ground floor, it was very clean and a good size. The beds were very comfortable. We were told how to ring him after 9pm if we had any issues, as he did not stay on site. Breakfast was included and this was one of the better breakfast we have had. There was a breakfast room in the lower level of the motel. Wifi was reasonable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this motel to other travellers.

"Great place to stay in VERY rural Maine" The rooms are very clean and comfortable, The location for hunters is excellent. Saw quite a few moose in the area. Bring your maps and/or GPS. There's alot of countryside to get lost in. The staff is very friendly as well, going out of their way to make you feel welcome. Stayed November 2013, traveled on business

"Charasmatic owners" We had now idea what we were getting into in this little town, and were so pleased to find the Bishops Country Inn Motel.

The room wasn't new, but was clean, large and comfortable.
The free breakfast was good, but the best part was Denise and Glenn, the owners. They were really friendly and helpful and made us feel like old friends.

We tried to get a moose-viewing tour from a local guide, but they weren't offering any on the day we were there, but the owners told us just to CAREFULLY drive north of the motel at dusk, and we might see one. Sure enough, a huge bull moose ambled across the road in front of us. What a thrill!
